PoLin So - People Operations ManagerPoLin oversees our People systems and processes, hiring, on/offboarding, employee engagement events and initiatives, and HR administration—all to ensure a happy and productive work environment and culture. Prior to joining UpMetrics, PoLin was the People Operations Lead at Carbon Lighthouse, where she served as the first point of contact on the People Ops team, supported and oversaw office operations across four cities, planned company-wide events, and collaborated on strategic workplace initiatives. PoLin graduated with a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and has worked at various nonprofit organizations in New York City and D.C., including Yamba Malawi, APIA Scholars, and Alliance for Justice. She brings her passion for making a difference and experience in nonprofits, events, and People Operations to UpMetrics and support the mission to empower social impact organizations to tell compelling stories and drive change through the power of data. Currently, PoLin volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of North Shore Long Island and is a founding member of its newly-created Kiwanis Young Professionals group. Previously, she liaised with and served on Yamba Malawi’s Young Professionals Committee for nearly four years. When not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their dog Layla, travelling, cooking, soaking up the sun at the beach, and breaking a sweat in cardio dance classes! She is a lowkey papyrophiliac and has a growing collection of Rifle Paper Co. stationery at home. |
