True to its entrepreneurial roots, The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has built a strong culture of innovation and has embraced a learning mindset that guides efforts to clear the path to impact. But even for an organization grounded in adaptability and entrepreneurship, the COVID-19 crisis brought a wave of change that required Kauffman to push for new levels of innovation within the Foundation and its grantees.
One of the key decisions Kauffman made as a part of this effort was to partner with UpMetrics to build a cohort of grantees. Through this partnership, Kauffman provided grantees with access to both the UpMetrics data platform and expert team, which empowered these organizations with a new and supportive way to define their own metrics for success and build customized dashboards.
